The Halal certification process plays a crucial role in ensuring that a company's products meet international Halal standards, thereby enhancing its reputation, expanding export markets, and building trust among Muslim consumers worldwide. Below is the latest Halal certification process for 2025, officially implemented by Halal Vietnam (HVN).

Step 1: Submit your Halal certification application.

The required documents include:

  • Form MF09.01 — List of registered products.
  • Form MF11.01 — List of ingredients, additives, and chemicals.
  • Business registration certificate and food-safety licence.

Step 2: Document review and fee rate letter.

HVN reviews the dossier, issues the fee rate letter, and confirms the audit scope with the applicant.

Step 3: On-site audit, panel review and certification.

An assigned auditor conducts the on-site inspection, non-conformances are closed out, and the certification panel issues the Halal certificate valid for one year.

Halal Việt Nam (HVN) is the Halal certification arm of the Islamic Center of Halal Certificate, established to give Vietnamese producers a single, credible route to the global Halal market. Audits are conducted against the HVN Halal Standard, aligned with MS1500, GSO 2055 and OIC/SMIIC 1.

The council brings together Shariah scholars, food technologists and lead auditors. Every certificate is issued by a certification panel — never by an individual auditor — and every certified site is subject to a surveillance audit within the certificate's validity.
